A web shop for digital downloads was established for Radio 2 on the popular website radicio2.nl and the very successful year-end list, the Radical 2 Top 2000. With this, the tracks in the Top 2000 are also made available to the fans as digital and paid files.
In cooperation with media-exploitant Boomerang, a very successful Valentines campaign was started. Picture postcards were sent via the Boomerang network, which called on the consumer to compose their own Valentines CD. From a pre-selection of 22 ‘love songs’, the sender could select three tracks and have these burned and delivered on a CD for €5,45. The possibility to select more tracks was also offered. With this unique Valentines campaign, Boomerang gave an interpretation to their medium in an innovative manner, while the music companies were presented by a new form of exploitation. DiMP not only takes care of the production of all CD’s, but also all the payments and transfer of rights.
